On March 5, 2025, students at the Swaziland College of Technology (SCOT) protested the prolonged absence of a Head of Department for Electrical Engineering, a vacancy persisting for over 4 years. 

Response

ACAF believes that the lack of stable leadership and proper administration impacts the quality of education, curriculum development, and departmental governance, infringing on students’ rights to a quality education. It subsequently encourages the management of SCOT to take the necessary steps to end this governance gap.
