The minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation has launched a Single Documentation Platform (PLUDOC) to allow access to over two million academic and scientific resources, which is in response to the problem of access to academic documentation in the country.
The platform seeks to provide students and researchers with a direct access to a vast academic database towards the development of higher education and scientific research in the country. Moreover, it will encompass dissertations and theses developed in the past.
This initiative is undoubtedly a step in the right direction towards the enhancement of academic freedom in Guinea, and the continent at large. A platform with adequate documentation of academic and scientific resources will not only promote open access to academic resources and enhance teaching and learning, but will also preserve such documents for future generations.
